The Myth of the Neutral Observer

In a social system, no parties are neutral, and all parties are effected by social forces and structures. This is a key observation to the study of sociology. No matter how academically distanced you think you are, no matter how much you think you do not care about certain things; your opinion, experiences, hopes, dreams, family and life all take place in the all inform you, it is next to impossible to distance yourself from them. Your opinion of certain aspects in society and your position in society itself will always shade your opinions.
